SHILLONG: Delhi based media house ‘The Policy Times’ in collaboration with Shiv Nadar University, will organise a three-day virtual conference under the name ‘World Education Conference’ (WEC) from January 15 to January 17 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Zoom. According to an official press release, WEC 2021 aims to bring the world’s educators on a single platform and discuss a new direction to education in 2021. “The conference will feature discussions on the Post-Covid recovery roadmap of education losses occurred in 2020, NEP 2020 implementation roadmap, Sustainable E-learning, and education-industry integration,” the press release stated. The programme is supported by Mewat Engineering College (technical institute of Malegaon)-Maulana Mukhtar Ahmad Nadvi Technical Campus (MMANTC), (one of India’s philanthropic business families) - Hamdard National Foundation (HECA) and Business & Employment Bureau (BEB Delhi) and other associate partners. Deputy Chief Minister & Education Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, will attend the virtual conference as the Chief Guest along with S Rajen Singh, Minister of Education, Government of Manipur and Govind Singh Thakur, Education Minister of Himachal Pradesh as the Guests of Honour. The speakers for the conference include Nepalese billionaire, businessman, philanthropist and chairman & president of the Chaudhary Group (CG), Binod Kumar Chaudhary, AICTE chairman Dr Anil Sahasrabudhe, and other prominent personalities. Renowned Indian educationists will also attend the conference, namely Prof Bhimaraya Metri, Director, Indian Institute of Management, Nagpur; Prof. (Dr) Rupamanjari Ghosh, Vice-Chancellor of Shiv Nadar University (Greater NOIDA), Prof. Ujjawal K Chowdhury, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Adamas University (Co-Conveners of the mega Conference) and Mr Akram Hoque, Founder Editor of The Policy Times is the Organising Secretary.
